Marble mouse problems

Postby bobpur » Sun Aug 26, 2007 22:20

I'm using Sabayon Linux v3.4e
My machine is a 5600 AMD dual core Socket AM2 on an ASUS M2NPV-VM Micro ATX motherboard w/ 1 gb RAM, An XFX 7600 GT video card, and a soundblaster Audigy sound card.all housed in an Apevia Qpack cube case.
My problem is that my logitech marble mouse won't set up for left hand use without the buttons getting screwed up. I looked on the configuration page and saw where one button was supposed to be deactivated. when I tried to click on it; it ,either did nothing as it's deactivated or it flashed the"What's this" message.
I seen another post addressing this problem with a different mouse. It had no answers or remedies.
I believe the problem could be resolved if I could change the button status in the configuration window but it's not working with things the way they are.
Appreciate some help, thanks.
