S-Video Out

So I was gonna take my laptop over to a friends house to watch some movies using my s-video out when i realized that it wasn't going to be that simple. I mean how the hell do i send the video over to the TV? Hell if i know so i did some searching and found nothing except this in the gentoo wiki

What sort of video card do you have and what installation of Sabayon are you running.

I have an Nvidia card, running 3.4e and all I have to do is hook up the cable and click on the Nvidia X server settings icon to change it.

In the side panel, just click on X Server Display Configuration and you should see your t.v. output in the box labeled Layout. (If you can't see it, try clicking on the box representing your monitor and move it around because it sometimes hides the other display box.) After that, click on the TV box click the 'Configure' button and change it to your liking.

If you have an ATI card, I can't help you, because I don't, but maybe someone else can. Give us more info and we can help you better.

Hey great thanks for the reply! I have a nvidia GeForce Go 7300. I currently have 3.3 mini installed but whenever i get done watching all the movies on my hdd I'm gonna reformat and install 3.4e so are you talking about nvidia-settings? Cause i had to emerge that. Looks like it might do the trick but I haven't had a chance to test it yet.
