No Sound HDA Intel 82801 (ICH7) (Rev.2)

Postby sherlock1 » Wed Aug 08, 2007 0:04

Hello,

I own a toshiba laptop that uses this model of sound card: HDA INTEL 82801 (ICH7) (Rev.2). Everithing worked out of the box but there is no sound. In Ubuntu feisty I was able to solve that problem using this post http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions ... p?t=531575
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php? ... 491&page=4, but with Sabayon it does not seems to work. Can somebody help me to get the sound and microphone working on this computer?

Thanks! 8)

I have the same problem here.. My toshiba p105 with same sound card useless.

Just about to give up and go back to a more advanced OS like maybe one that has executable files and does not rely on CLI command line interface as much.

I understand your frustration, I have a sound problem too. But be careful how you use the word "advanced"...
