Postby AODEvildead » Sun Aug 05, 2007 10:29

Well, i have tried everything to get my usb audio device working.
But it does not want to work, is there anything i could do to make it work?
Any help would be appreciated.

"Not working" doesn't tell us much.

What happens when you plug the usb device in? dmesg will tell you what the kernel saw and lsusb will tell you what usb devices are seen. lsmod will tell u what modules are loaded.

Hi

Does it work if you open up a root konsole and type "modprobe snd_usb_audio" (without quotes)

All the best

Hi everyone!

I have a trust USB 5.1 sound card and I can't get it to work either. Alsaconf does not recognize it (see screen shot). lsusb does not list the card. dmesg gives the following:

Code: Select all
[108522.888838] usb 3-1: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 5

[50114.155292] usbcore: registered new interface driver snd-usb-audio

Any clues?

Guys I don't know what happened but Amorok stoped producing sound so I run the typical alsaconf to get my laptop's motherboard sound card working. I didn't pay attention to prompts or anything and after a started Kmix it said USB audio and my USB sound card's led was flashing. I connected the speakers to it and it works! Don't know what happened. I don't think it will work after I reboot. What should I do?
