Wacom Intuos 3 / Sabayon 3.4a / USBHID

Postby waelter » Fri Aug 03, 2007 14:43

Hello
I've installed 3.4a yesterday and most things work fine except my tablet...

I've tried and tried to install the linuxwacomdrivers (either emerge and from source).
No success, the tutorials tell me to load module "usbhid" after installing the wacom driver,
but there is not such a module on my box... hint?
the tablet worked one time but only the pen and not very good (only when i really touched the pad, and the mouse never worked), although there was input on "/dev/input/wacom".
tried also udev for the recognizing of the tablet. i just have no ideas anymore.
i compiled my kernel with the module support, but still i cant load the wacom module via "modprobe wacom". i have to go to the sources and load the driver from there... although i copied the "wacom.ko" to the correct lib-path.
pleaaaaaaaaase someone help, i'm really stuck here.
sorry for my bad english.

---------------------------

edit:
if i invoke the command:
"insmod /usr/src/linux-2.6.22-sabayon/drivers/input/tablet/wacom.ko"
i can move the pen (pressed on the tablet), but the mouse doent work.
what is wrong here?

this is what
"tail /var/log/messages"
says:

another question:
is it correct that none of the modules in the quotes are found via "locate"....??

"[jej@ayukawa usb]# rmmod wacom
[jej@ayukawa usb]# modprobe usb-uhci (or usb-ohci)
[jej@ayukawa usb]# modprobe input
[jej@ayukawa usb]# modprobe mousedev
[jej@ayukawa usb]# modprobe wacom (or insmod mydir/src/wacom.o)
[jej@ayukawa usb]# modprobe evdev"
