Mouse problems and possibly keyboard

Postby Othello » Fri Jun 22, 2007 23:47

Sorry I am a bit new to linux and I am having an issue with my mouse pointer from the very first boot. It is possible that I have a keyboard problems as well but I may just be dumb and hitting the wrong hot keys.

Basically what happens is this: I boot the live cd and then when I get to the desktop acceleration section I can't make a selection mainly because every time I try to move the mouse it jumps from one side of the screen to the other. I attempt to hit Alt and Ctrl A for the and even enter to get passed this but that doesn't work either.

I am really sorry about this but a friend of mine is a big fan of this distro and I would like to use it and learn more but this is kind of a big road block.

Any help would be good.
I am using a wireless logitech mouse and keyboard set attached to a kvm switch. To the ps2 connections. I don't think any other hardware could be an issue because I have tested it on two different machines( hence the switch).

Thank you any help
