I have a phillips saa7131 TV card. I have not been able to get it running under Sabayon. A freind has the same card and has it running under Ubuntu by installing TVTime and then adding this line --
options saa7134 card=65 tuner=54 to the /etc/modprobe.d/options file. Sabayon does not have the same file so my questions are --- Has anyone got an saa7131 running under Sabayon? and/or Is there an equivelent to /etc/modprobe.d/options and would adding the above line work?
Many thanks in advance for any help.

Hi,
For the options part: in Gentoo you should create a file name 'saa7131' under /etc/modules.d/ with that content, then run "modules-update" and it'll recreate the "/etc/modules.conf" automatically. Check that now /etc/modules.conf contains your new parameters (this file should not be edited directly).
As for the driver: you should check
http://www.linuxtv.org wiki page, as they are the people mainly responsible for TV card drivers (both analog and DVB, etc...).
Cheers,
Eduard
EDIT: here you have some more info:
