DVD-writer on sabayon, can't write CD's[SOLVED]

Postby dyingmuppet » Fri May 25, 2007 15:27

Hi all,
I'm experiencing some trouble with writing CD's in Sabayon and I think it has something to do with cdrdao or something. the weird thing is, I have this problem on both my laptop and my desktop PC...
and on both I can write DVD's without any problems or error messages, but I can't write CD's on both.
everytime I try to write a CD it starts and looks like its burning well, but at 5 or 7% he stops and gives an input/output buffer underrun error or something...

this is the output I get from K3B:

I also tried to uncheck the BurnFree option but that wouldn't help...
This problem also exist in all other cd-burning programs, so I think it has something to do with cdrdao, but I'm not familiar with this so I need some help here...

thnx DM

thanks wolfden,
I updated K3B and reinstalled/updated cdrdao and now I can write cd's again, I haven't tried a DVD yet but I don't think it would make any difference...

Thanks, DM :D
