Does anyone have any experience getting this Common Access Card (CAC) reader reader working in Sabayon or Gentoo? I have done 'equo install coolkey' but it still does not recognize the reader or any inserted CAC card. I also have all my required CA files installed in Firefox.
I really would like to get this working, since it is the last hurdle I've got to making SL my primary OS for home use.
Thank you in advance!

I feel that I am so close. I have pcsc-lite, ccid, and opensc installed. Have the daemon loaded, get a card inserted, light on my keyboard, but nothing will read the card...

Try to monitor
/var/log/messages to see if there is any useful output while you insert your card:
(as root)
- Code: Select all
tail -f /var/log/messages
Then insert your card.
