I'm new to Sabayon. I'm trying to install a Samsung scx3200 mono multi-function printer in Sabayon 9.
I tried through CUPS. It recognizes thw printer but lists no driver for it. I downloaded the UnifiedLinuxDriver for this printer from Samsung's website. It is a tar.gz package. I am never sure where to extract these so I just extracted it to Documents in my home directory.
Running the shell script I got the message:
libtiff.so.3 not found, install ... done
**** It seems Qt library is not installed, or X display is not accessible.
**** Custom Qt library will be configured for use with this package.
However, the installation program opened just the same. Followed its steps, but it stopped at 97% with the message:
Can't restart CUPS - script not found
CUPS is installed.
Where did I go wrong and what should I do?
Thanks in advance for any help!
