UPEK fingerprint reader [Solved]

Postby Fitzcarraldo » Fri Mar 23, 2012 15:55

Just in case anyone has a built-in fingerprint reader on their laptop, if it happens to be one of the models supported by the FOSS application Fingerprint GUI (see the list of supported models on the application's Home Page) then you can read how to get it working in my latest blog post:

Getting the integrated fingerprint reader on my laptop to work in Linux

(For SL you'll need to do a bit more work first to set up your installation to use Portage and to use a local overlay. For how to do those, see NOTE 1 at the bottom of my SL Forum post Re: Can I install .rpm or .deb drivers on Sabayon?.)
