Filesystem going Read-Only

Hey Sabayoniers,

I've recently installed Sabayon GNOME x64 and after installing the Updates and rebooting i just had a blinking cursor, which
was (for me) an indication that X Server didn't work.

So I went into recovery and discovered that the whole filesystem was read-only. I know that this probably has to do with some hard drive related issues, but I tried "mount -o remount /" anyway and then started the X Server with "startx" and it worked!

So can anyone please explain me how I can get my X Server working on Sabayon again? (Not using the recovery mode)

be nice to know what hardware you have

make sure no config file left out

should be set to your graphics

says that everything's fine.

OpenGL was always set to the X11-Driver, which does not work because the file system's Read-Only.

As I said, if I remount the filesystem everything works as expected.
I can even start a X11 server although this shows me just a basic interface.

I'm on a laptop, an Alienware M14X.

It's got an i7 2670QM
750 GB HDD (Dell Original, how can I look for the model number?)
GT555M (which worked fine on the standard driver, I installed no nvidia ones)
4GB RAM

It's on Dual-Boot with Windows using GRUB2, Windows works fine, no HDD issues there.

I got a glimpse at the Verbose Mode when starting the normal Sabayon, it said

*Mounting filesystem Read-Only*

there, which doesn't seem like the right way to do it.

Everything worked well before updating, I guess I should stick to "never change a running system" in the future.
