Keep losing sound from my music apps.

Hi,

My music playing apps (Rhythmbox, Decibel, Audacious) seem to get confused and lose the proper sound settings. I suspect this is because I have ALSA and Pulse installed, to handle the sound. These were installed as part of the installation, and I'm not convinced I need (or want) both of them. The only way I can reliably play music, is through Firefox (YouTube).

Does Sabayon prefer ALSA or Pulse, I'd like to get to the bottom of the problem and removing one would be a good start.

Any help appreciated.

It looks like both applications are needed by other parts of the system, so I can't remove one. Anyone know why my media players are confused? The only one that isn't, is Audacious, but that doesn't seem to have a search facility so that I can search my 3000 tracks. That makes finding music very difficult. If I could get around that, I'd just un-install the other music players.
