OK, so after upping the kernel from .34 to .35 my keyboard worked again, including the media buttons.
Now, after another update a day 'n half ago, my media buttons are dead again, even xev won't see them!
What fscks me off proper is I can't even downgrade the kernel from -r5 to -r4 nae mere as it's not in the repos, so I can't even check to see if that's what caused the problem :evil:

Getting pretty bloody sick with buttons working for only a week or two then failing on me again after an update :evil:

Anyone got any idea what to do?

temper the tone a bit please. We didn't bump the kernel to just annoy you really.

File a bug instead please.

You didn't? Hmm I thought you had dedicated at least one evening every week to pissing me off :mrgreen:

Guess I gotta learn to wait at least a day or two before posting a problem so I won't sound as pissed off

The manufacturer off the keyboard?
The Linux kernel team?
Us for pushing out a kernel version that was patched for a serious security issue?
Yourself for being hostile against all off named above?

Not so much pissed off at anyone in particular and didn't mean to sound that way, just frustrated that an old sore pops up again
