NVIDIA X Server Settings (saving problem)

Postby Alexey931 » Mon Nov 12, 2007 16:44

Hi, everybody,

It's no hardware issue, not really. In fact, almost everything is all right. I'm impressed, to put it mildly, that all the NVIDIA staff got detected and installed just by way of expressing my wish :D . Unfortunately, the option of saving the settings to xorg.conf isn't working. No warning, no error, but xorg.conf remains the same after pushing the "Save" button. I tried to copy the changes manually, but got something wrong: X server fails to start. Actually, changes seem to be simple, but kind of pervasive... What am I to do? What a pity: just one step from perfection :D ...

post your xorg and the changes u want

nvidia-settings should work, but it will probably destroy your desktop acceleration settings, best to do it by hand
