USB headset going, not going??? Help!

Hello

i searched how to get my usb headset to work in linux and well it worked, i typed dmesg |tail and it worked, i reboot and it no longer works
any suggestions, my normal audio works fine and it detects my headset fine, i just get no output.
also ive already tried alsaconf using sabs 3.4e
