Not sure but the kernel config file should show the labels / numbers for most of them and then search the internet for devices based on these chips , I doubt that any is not yet supported as it has been around for some time.
See release page for the version you have it should have the kernel config on and open with text editor to read possibly under the adsl part not sure.

I think there should be a hw list for everything that works 100% without
fiddling arount etc.

We are working on a list like this from all over the internet but we are not big enough yet to get around to this list. Most of the stuff that works on gentoo works here maybe more here than there except for non x86 / amd cpu's.
