Does this Gentoo script work on Sabayon?

This is the script called "update" for easily updating Gentoo. Does it work for Sabayon?

We can get it here:

# wget -O /sbin/updatescript.sh http://phpfi.com/241954?download
# chmod +x /sbin/updatescript.sh

# updatescript.sh
(or, if you want to sync the portage tree first)
# updatescript.sh -s
