To be honest i would not recommend getnoo mirrors. The Sabayon infastructure is much faster.

Not for me... the sabayon infrastructure doesn't work from where I live (University campus) because I'm behind a firewall that only allows certain connections through certain ports. I only have unlimited access to the Romanian Education Network (aka roedu) and there are only some gentoo mirrors on their server, and in order to be able to install some applications I need to add those mirrors otherwise I can't install any application with emerge on my computer.

I hope I wrote sth comprehensive... even if the phrase is rather long :D

By gentoo mirrors you mean mirrors that hold the packages and package tree? If so just add the mirror to your make.conf
