two version of GTK?? why??[SOLVED]

Postby zouzou85 » Fri Jun 29, 2007 23:21

I noticed while recompiling that there is two versions of GTK+ ( 1.2.10-r12 & 2.10.13). what is the reason for having both? If there is any?
reason i ask is because i am having problems with the earlier version (1.2.10-r12) while recompiling.

thanx much and help appreciated

The 1.x series of GTK is older. Some programs still depend on it, although that list gets smaller every day, I think. What problems are you having with it, specifically? Won't emerge at all, or blocks another package, or..? No promises, but I'll try and help if at all possible.
