Hi,
I had the very same problem yesterday. I think it's due to the "-beagle" flag set. Teorethcally this allow the kicker to be compiled without Beagle support, which I initially wanted, but maybe there is an error in the ebuild or kicker code that fails to compile then.

If you emerge it like this...
Code: Select all
USE="beagle" emerge kicker

...should work (worked for me, at least), although this will install a lot of new packages (Beagle and GNOME related) that maybe you don't need.

Or else wait for this bug to be fixed :D.

Cheers

yes, I know that it is beagle related... I submitted a bug about it. It can actually compile if you have beagle even with the -beagle flag, but it needs beagle installed... anyway, my actual goal was to get rid of all gnome stuff since I use kde, and I achieved it by compiling beagle with -gtk. Good luck!
