overlay source error

Postby bifrost » Thu Jun 14, 2007 10:18

when I sync
sudo layman -S; sudo emerge --sync

I get this message:

The source of the overlay "einit" seems to have changed. You currently sync from "http://einit.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/einit/trunk/distro/gentoo/portdir_overlay" while the global layman list reports "http://svn.berlios.de/svnroot/repos/einit/trunk/distro/gentoo/portdir_overlay" as correct location. Please consider removing and readding the overlay!

... and I can't work out how to do this - which file to edit?

help!

einit is not supplied on sabayon anymore so you can simply give a layman -d einit

Does that also apply with custom-kernels?

Hmm, in fact which layman overlays are available for Sabayon? How would I find that out?

Thanks. these are the overlays I have added
Code: Select all
rock echo6 # layman -l
* berkano                   [Subversion] (source: http://svn.liveforge.org/b...)
* custom-kernels            [Subversion] (source: http://opensvn.csie.org/cu...)
* einit                     [Subversion] (source: http://svn.berlios.de/svnr...)
* n4g                       [Subversion] (source: http://mars.arge.at/svn/n4...)
* portato                   [Subversion] (source: https://svn.sourceforge.ne...)
* sabayon                   [Subversion] (source: http://svn.sabayonlinux.or...)
* xeffects                  [Subversion] (source: svn://svn.gentoo-xeffects....)

However when I do a search for novell, or any of the custom kernels the search fails (Sabayon 3.26). However it works fine on my Sabayon install 3.3. I only just noticed this!

Found the culprit! I had no entry in my /etc/make.conf file for "source /usr/portage/local/layman/make.conf"
