Is this thread still valid given we are on 5.4 now? Sorry, had to ask as "world" command is deprecated.

This thread is a Portage thread. It has nothing to do with Entropy. They are completely different package managers.

The term 'world' and the command switch 'world' are not deprecated in Portage; they are still used and valid.

So i tried to use this guide but when i do the first

It does this

I changed my make.conf also. I am trying this because i emerge --sync before this with a fresh install and i was not able to emerge almost anything with a gui.

Times have changed since this was written, but should work for the most part still.

The best way to do this with Sabayon is to grab a corecdx and install that. Modify till your heart is content, do the sync, rebuild existing and than build on top of that.
