Hi,
I'm new to Sabayon, but have experience with linux (coming from debian/ubuntu flavours). I installed CoreX 9 in a virtual machine to test how to install a more recent e17 in sabayon from the overlay. I followed the instructions http://overlays.gentoo.org/dev/vapier/wiki/enlightenment and also of course have the overlay activated and did emerge --sync and layman -s enlightenment. When calculating dependencies, emerge says there are conflicts (seems to be between necessary version from portage and installed sabayon version) and I don't know how to solve them. I cannot attach files at the moment (according to the board), so the out put is here: http://pastebin.com/u7a1h4Pm
Should I maybe uninstall and then mask the conflicting packages, and then install them from portage? But which packages exactly, if yes? It says there are 2 blocks, but is lists so many packages. Please excuse my noobiness.
Many thanks,
the dude
