moved to correct forum, not an Installation issue, please post in the correct forum

the error message tells you exactly what to do

you need to change the flag on that package.


emerge -a net-dns/avahi-0.6.25-r1 << that is not the proper way to specify a specific version, you need the =

Is there a reason why you are using portage instead of entropy? Portage is for more advanced users that understand portage. Mixing isn't recommend unless you know what you are doing.

what would you to suggest:
- ungerge all merge installed pkgs and reinstall them with entropy ?
- go on installing easily stopping using emerge and starting using entropy ?
