Does default make.conf produce entropy binaries? [Solved]

I've been told to either use entropy or portage, but not both. I was wondering, though, if emerging packages using the default make.conf would produce binaries compatible with entropy's? There are still a couple packages in Gentoo's repositories I need that are not in Sabayon's, so would it hurt anything to emerge them as long as I don't modify my make.conf?

you can emerge - it's recommended to use one or the other as the majority.

I use 3rd party ebuilds and you can change the flags, just be aware if you install via entropy after portage that it will get set back to default.
