Shift Switcher plugin for Fusion

Postby Wait...What? » Tue Jul 31, 2007 14:07

This switcher plugin is really cool, kind of like the iphone cd selection, also has an option that looks just like Vista's aero switcher - for those who like that sort of thing.

I ran this in a terminal:
Code: Select all
git-clone git://anongit.opencompositing.org/fusion/plugins/shift
cd shift
make && make install

(Did it first as root, but then it only worked when I was using Fusion as root - Did it again as user and now it's working normally)

Also the key binding to initiate it is Super+Shift+S which conflicts with the Tile plugin - make sure you either disable Tile or change the key binding.

Here is the orginal post from the fusion forum.

The above commands will work to install any other CF plugin not included by default. To look for the names of the other plugins to install them click this: http://gitweb.opencompositing.org/ (just replace shift with the name specified on the page of the plugin you want).

The updated compiz fusion includes the shift switcher along with some other really cool animations.

Here's the link to Wolfden's how to:
