Here is what we need to do. If you have compiz-fusion working, please tell us what video card you have so people can check here and see if their card works. Any tips and tricks you had to do to get your card working would help too.

NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GT: Out of the box, no issues, using the nvidia driver.
Intel 915 GM: Out of the box using AIGLX, i810 driver.

Will post stats for ATI X300 and 9600 cards tonight.

ATI Mobility Radeon x1300:
• Emerge Compiz Fusion
• Fix GDM using this wiki: http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_XGL#Config ... Xgl_Server
• Create a script to load Compiz Fusion on login.

LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib/opengl/xorg-x11/lib compiz --sm-disable --replace ccp

• Name that script compiz-start-sh.

• chmod +x the script.
• Set it to start on login in gnome.

Using latest Gnome Desktop available. Mobility Radeon x1300. Compiz-Fusion

EDIT DM: a simpler way to do it is editing /usr/share/autostart/compiz-manager.desktop and changing

I think we'll fix that soon on every ati just emerging a new version of desktop-acceleration-helpers

Acer Aspire 5672 with ATI Mobility Radeon X1400, Compiz Not working.

Not working with KDE or GNome

Thinkpad T43p: ATI Technologies Inc M24GL [Mobility FireGL V3200]

Did not work on the LiveCD, but works fine out-of-the-box on the installed system. Compiz does not start on login, I have to run it manually with compiz-start.

Btw when I right click on compiz icon it shows that the window manager is metacity and not compiz.
