Gnome 3.6 unicode hell :-(

Postby Skyr » Mon Jan 21, 2013 11:27

Hi,

with last weekend's update, unicode hell broke loose :-(

On my zsh, unicode seems to have stopped working, I can't type German Umlauts, my zsh prompt looks crippled as well.

Edit: Dropping all my desired LC-settings into /etc/env.d/02locale, regenerating the environment (env-update, locale-gen) plus a reboot made that issue go away. But the following persists...

On gdm, I can't log in, I always get an "invalid utf-8" message.
Since the update, gdm takes a long time to start, on the console some timeout message for gdm-simple-slave appears...

Any ideas, anyone?
