nautilus CPU consumption [Solved]

Since last weekend's update, nautilus seems to consume a lot of CPU (constantly ~10%, giving my laptop's fan a hard time). I saw some thumbnailer processes appear over and over again. Some googling pointed me to this bug. The given solution

ln -s ~/.thumbnails ~/.cache/thumbnails

solved the problem for me. So if you have the same problem, give it a try
