Xfce4-Volumed [Solved]

Postby sqlpython » Sun Dec 23, 2012 9:58

As most who use Xfce are aware the Xfce4-volumed app is an App that will activate Laptop Volume Buttons, Place an Icon in the Panel and Show a Nofication Bar as you change Volume Levels.
I can not get the Xfce4-volumed app to work in my Sabayon X with Xfce...

Here is the error I get when I try to run it..
...Any Ideas
Code: Select all
 sqlpython # xfce4-volumed
xfce4-volumed: error while loading shared libraries: libkeybinder.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

....As you can see below it does exist.
Code: Select all
 sqlpython # cd /usr/bin
 bin # ls xfce4-v*
xfce4-volumed

...and
Code: Select all
 bin # equo search xfce4-vol

No I did not.
I am aware that it is a related item. However seeing that it was installed and working I did not consider that item.
I will reinstall Keybinder though.... Nothing to lose..
Thanks

Well that didn't help nor allow Xfce4-volumed to run.
..What did finally though was to
Code: Select all
Alt-F2
gksu xfce4-volumed

Don't really remember haveing started the plugin that way before but I will remember for here moving forward.
