KDE ignores color settings at some applications [Solved]

Postby flobian » Wed May 23, 2012 9:46

Hi!

since some weeks background Color of Firefox, Thunderbird and Libreoffice is black! I tried to change this in KDE System settings -> Color. I changed Schema but there is no change in the applications.

I also tried to start with a new KDE profile and moved direcotry ~/.kde4 away. No success

Any ideas?
Thanks

Hi there,
KDE is mainly using QT or their applications and Firefox and Thunderbird are GTK-apps (I'm not absolutly sure about LibreOffice, but I think that one too). In KDE there should be an extra option to change the Theme of GTK-apps. Also this settings isn't stored in the .kde folder.

cheers

Hi Jomiel,

many thanks to you!

GTK2-Design and GTK3-Design was set to "HighContrastInverse"! Ugly!
Now I have my nice Desktop back. Thanks!
