Takeoff Launcher - a new(ish) application launcher for KDE

Postby Fitzcarraldo » Tue Feb 28, 2012 1:37

If anyone is interested, it should be simple enough to install the Takeoff application launcher in KDE 4.8.0 in SL. Takeoff is a Plasmoid widget, so it can be added to your Panel or Desktop.

For instructions and a screen snapshot showing what Takeoff looks like, have a look at: Installing the Takeoff Launcher in KDE 4.8.0.

Thanks for posting on this. I had an error while installing on cmake (missing automoc4.exe). Tried to add it from a seperate post through cmake-gui but got lost in the weeds about half way thru trying to find the configured .exe and where to copy it. Apologize in advance if this is wrong place to post this question. Appreciate your posts, btw as the KDE blogs seem to be limited.
Tks,

I don't use KDE on Windows, so I can't be of much help. However Google threw up the following thread in the KDE Forums about what looks like a similar error to the one you're experiencing, so it might help you: Very frustrating problem with cmake.
