KDE 4.8.0 - kfilemetadatareader 100%CPU utilization [Solved]

Hello

I have problem with kfilemetadatareader consuming all my CPU power. I thinks It starts whenever I enter folder with some movies. Anyone experiencing the same problem ?

I have the same problem. Using KDE 4.8 and Dolphin 2.0
when I hover over video files and compressed files, a new kfilemetadatareader instance appears.

disabling previsualization for video files in dolphin options don't help.

any ideas?

Meanwhile, i've renamed the kfilemetadatareader excutable, and dolphin didn't noticed that.
I can't see the metadata information of files, but it is worse to have my CPU 100% used.

This is just an (ugly) workaround to avoid making my PC slow.

I have just upgraded to KDE4.8.1 and the problem is solved.
