KDE 4.8.0 crashes on USB media

Postby abadonna » Sun Feb 19, 2012 22:58

Hi,

- 4 PCs, all running Sabayon 8 64-bits. All upgraded to the latest KDE 4.8.0.

I've got the serious problem with KDE 4.8 and USB media (pendrives and external HDDs). When I connect USB pendrive to my computers (those updated to the latest KDE), it crashes KDE 4.8.

More to it: I've got Astrotek PCI Express VLI USB 3.0 controller in one of my PCs. After the system update (KDE 4.8.0) my controller stopped recognising USB devices (either USB 3.0 or 2.0). Before it worked as a charm.

It looks, something has been awfully corrupted in the new KDE 4.8 version...

Please help.
