3D effects [Solved]

I have installed Gnome desktop as well using equo install @gnome. I think everything works OK exept for 3D effects. Can anybody help me? Thanks.

installed gnome desktop? what did you start with? what hardware? are you talking about compiz and if so, did you install it? is the correct graphics driver installed and selected?

I have installed version 5.5 KDE, compiz, NVIDIA card with driver 260.19.36. I wrote, that I have installed Gnome with command equo install @gnome. I do not know any other command for installing gnome desktop.

if you want to activate the 3D effects under Gnome, you should use fusion-icon, it is located in the main menu:
Applications->System Tools->Compiz Fusion Icon
(the path could be different since I have the Italian localizations)
you can also launch it from a console using:

fusion-icon


if it is not installed use:
(as root)

Code: Select all

equo install fusion-icon


Using that, switch your window manager to compiz.
