^Nice. I like darker desktops. Here's the one I've been using for a long time now:

Sabayon Linux amd64, kernel 2.6.34-sabayon (dual-boot Windows 7)
KDE 4.4.4
Mesh Edge DX
- Intel Core i7 720QM (1.6 GHz)
- 4 GB DDR3
- 15.6" LCD (1920x1080)
- ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650, 1 GB GDDR3
- 320 GB HDD
- Intel WiFi Link 5300
- Broadcom BT

I broke down and installed 3.5 a couple of weeks ago. I know I'm way behind the times, but 3.4f was working great for me. I had a couple of days off of work so I decided to format & try out some other distros...That lasted about a day before I installed Sabayon again. :D

Anyway...Here is a shot of my latest desktop resized from 1440x900.

After a fair struggle with E17 I'm finally happy with my SL 4.0 install
this is on an ASUS Pundit-r I was given
Image

A nifty little gadget I nicked from the easy_e17 guys (Rui Pais)Image bottom right of screen
This checks a svn flag set by Tux Aubrey on the svn checkout that indicates when it's (relativly) safe to update
though I haven't got it to read my revision number just yet
as you can see in the screenshot below double-clicking it sets it off updating. Nice :-D

props to the dev team, SL 4.0h is the best ever, awesome :D

Installed SL 4.0-r1 x86 onto a five year-old Acer laptop (Athlon XP-M 32-bit CPU) and it works like a charm, even the Compiz-Fusion and Broadcom BCM4306 (rev 03) WiFi controller. I set up the desktop environment using some photos I took using my mobile phone:
