automatic wifi / wired switch?

Just to start, I installed Sabayon on my desktop when 3.26 came out, love it, gave up windoze for good. Bought my 19 year old daughter a laptop for college and the fisrt question she asked is if I could install Sabayon! "Vista didn't impress her at all.
Anyway to the point. Her laptop is a HP dv6000 and wireless just started working with 3.4e, only if I use net-setup, networkmanager doesn't like it. What can I do to make it automaticly change from wifi to wired when it gets plugged in?
