NM-Applet-GTK2 permissions error

Okay here is the deal. I have been unable to connect to new networks or edit existing connections, however I can connect to wifi networks that I have already added and are set to auto connect. If I try to edit a connect I get an error window saying

Code: Select all

Error initializing editor
Insufficient privileges.

And when I try to connect to a new access point, when I click on it nothing happens. NM-Applet detects new networks and I can connect to old ones. I have tried this fix for a permissions issue for nm-applet http://jeffhoogland.blogspot.com/2012/0 ... cient.html and it did not work. Any help is much appreciated.
