After 5 days of wonderfully consistent automatic wireless connections during booting in SL7, I was ready to mark my previous 3 topic submissions about wireless problems as being [Solved]. It appears as if my original problem has returned.
Beginning 2 days ago, 11.11.11, with the first morning boot, automatic wireless connection did not occur then, or since, and usual manual connections can not be made. What happened overnight Friday night, 11.11.11? The laptop has no battery and is always disconnected from the power supply overnight.
Network Administrator program is no help and its System Menu has greyed out choices, plus, a wireless choice is not even listed! Wireless is consistently available to Vista on the same dual-booting laptop and is also shown as being consistently detected by SL7.
My nm-system-settings.conf file in NetworkManager is the same as when automatic wireless connections were being made successfully last week.
Does anybody have any helpful suggestions? Thanks.
