Network Manager not starting as syslog-ng would not start

I installed the sabayon gnome 7 and was using the internet for some time and from today i could not connect to network in gnome 3.During startup iam getting the below errors

Plugin module not found in 'module-path' ;'module-path='/usr/lib64/syslog-ng',module = 'afsocket'
Plugin module not found in 'module-path' ;'module-path='/usr/lib64/syslog-ng',module = 'affile'
Plugin module not found in 'module-path' ;'module-path='/usr/lib64/syslog-ng',module = 'afprog'
Plugin module not found in 'module-path' ;'module-path='/usr/lib64/syslog-ng',module = 'afuser'

Error parsing source,source plugin unix-stream not found in /etc/syslog-ng/syslog-ng.conf at line 22 ,column 5:

unix-stream("/dev/log" max_connections(256));

*Configuration error.Please fix your config file (/etc/syslog-ng/syslog-ng.conf)
*ERROR: syslog_ng failed to start
*ERROR: cannot start NetworkManager as syslog-ng failed to start

Any help on how to fix this?
