Tethering Blackberry?

I can't use my BB as a modem even on Windows. The Desktop Application Software says connected to the O2 network but no internet access. I have noticed that APN is not enabled on the phone and I can't even find any internet settings. I have seen on the internet that I need APN: blackberry.net and the password should be blackberrynet as well I guess. I have called O2 and like usual support, they cut me off after a long time on hold and completely rubbish advisors. It seems to be a very difficult issue because nobody has answered on the O2 Blackberry forum. They have troubles with many other things. I start thinking that buying a Blackberry was a mistake, because they have a very poor support.
My old C905 connected to the internet on Windows and linux without problems but I have got BB bolt on and O2 told me that I can't use the old mobile anymore for the internet..
