Yup and the 2.6.29* changes added causes much more fun and causes some whole script rewrites and brakes a whole lot of older code.

If you want to have fun try git-sources 2.6.30*

Another thing that likes to run by default and often seems to cause problems... wpa_supplicant. I can't get a wifi connection to my open home router if it's on.. even with the default open config file. I don't think this was true before recent updates. wpa_supplicant has, I've found, always been a pain and a version dependant pain. That's why at home I just use MAC address filtering... I know it's easily spoofable but oh well, worst is someone might borrow my bandwidth to view some naughty pictures and print them out on my printer.
