You have made a really great job.
This is the best distro i never tryed (i am Linux user since SuSE Linux 7
Ok, and now the question:
I have a 56K Internal Modem: Conceptronics C56PMi, but I am not able to get it working at Sabayon.
The KDE Hardware Tool recognices it. It tolds that the modem's chip is a Conexant, and that is true.
I have used kppp to configure the connection account and modem settings, but when testing the modem's response (by clicking the apropiate button), y get a "Modem is Busy" error.
The ports i used (because de modem is a PCI Modem), where the TTYSx ports, from 0 to 4 (i think that those ate from COM1 to COM 5, windows equivalents, but i am not sure).
I have tryed to run kppp as restricted user, and root, but i get the same "error".
I also checked that the pppd daemon is not blocking the device, so, i really dont know how to make the modem to work.
When i run pppd manually, and i make a "tail /var/log/message", i get a line simillar to
connecting to ppp0
ppp0 has no port defined, using default port
ppp0 connected to /dev/pst/1
At now i am at window$, so i am not really sure of those exact lines, but something like this...
Any one is able to help me?
Thanks and congratulations again
