How do I set up my existing internet account?

I'm a Linux virgin!
Like the title says, once I get sabayon installed, how do I set up my internet access?
Please help!

This is old and needs a few tweaks but could help.

Might first see if the usb adsl modem is recognized / have a module for it = happy ?

# lsusb
"list usb devices"
# lsmod
"list modules"

Then from there try kppp or similar using the guides or something someone posted here.
Might be a bit easier if using a d-link adsl modem / router in one device and just connect via wifi / lan cable to this. SHould be about us$50.00 per adsl modem / router.

Some one that has done something like this above will post just hang in there.
