Knetworkmanager - WPA Hex Key problem

Hello, I've got a strange problem and didn't find anything in the forums. I'm using a Linksys Router with DD-Wrt on it at home with WPA1 PSK encryption and hidden Network. In the router setup i only can chose to insert the key in Hex. I've got a BCM43xx Mini PCI Network Adapter and my other OSs (Gentoo and Debian) isn't it a problem to connect to my network using wpa_supplicant.conf.
But with Knetworkmanger inserting the key without 0x...... fails and with it the Connect button isn't available. Is there a way to configure Knetworkmanager to use Hex Wpa Keys?? Or have I to use the traditional way and configure my card with wpa_supplicant.conf??? Thanks for any idea and suggestions.

Would an alternative solution be to convert the WPA passphrase into Hex first? See the following post (Post #4, from ditsch) if that would be of interest:
