Live DVD question

I just tried the live dvd for 3.4e and it work great for a few minutes, I change some settings in the compiz settings to allow reflections and 3d windows ,after that the cube would not work and both KDE menu bars locked up and would not respond.How do you refresh it?I tried refresh desktop and nothing changed.

I have no problems running 3.3 off the dvd, and I can do all the beryl stuff using the Fedora 7 live cd.

I had problems / slow performance if I enabled AIGLX for my nvidia card = 50% glxgears performance. 7300fps
Try it with " NO GLX " if asked before live dvd login and see if any better. 13300fps using glxgears this way for me.
Might have to manually launch compiz fusion ?? not sure.

Have not figured out if it is only a glx type bug / nvidia bug or something else causing this.

Watch that clip, That is the same thing that happened to me, next time I run 3.4e if it looks up I will try the ctrl-alt-backspace.

that fixed it .....

it froze up
ctrl-alt-backspace
log in again and everything worked great
