minicd to full version

Hi,

I was wondering, if one installed the miniedition would one be able to easily download and install all the binary packages which are found on the dvd.?

The currently available CD miniEdition (v3.3) is getting slightly out-of-date.

I installed that version, and have enjoyed it. But I put a fair amount of effort into bringing it current.

Also, the tools for updating with binary packages are very new. So all my updating for v3.3 was with emerge and building packages (that is my preference anyways). But if there is a package I like, I can probably install it right now.

A new CD miniEdition is supposedly in development. As usual, there are no commitments for a release date at this time. But it has been indicated that the development process for the next miniEdition will probably only be a few weeks away.
