Need help accessing my hd in live dvd.

i cant mount my sabayon linux partition in the live DVD its says not found in /etc/fstab / or etc/mstab
i need to mount the partition to edit the grub.conf since im getting the no root device error

Hi Mitch,

Can you be more specific, what commands did you type in the console to mount the HD?

Possible solution:

Go to console:

mount /dev/sda1 /media/floppy

(I use floppy as mounting point because I have no floppy drive in my laptop. It's just a name, doesn't matter.)
(Your boot partition, containing GRUB, should be sda1, but you can make sure by opening the partition editor on DVD)
