Hi,
I installed Sabayon Linux 3.4 on a 12 GB partition to get to know the distribution -"where art meets inspiration". (I am currently using SuSE 10.2 and doing quite OK with it.)
12 GB seems to be insufficient for the experience. No 3D effects. In fact, available space is practically zero. I noticed that there are may application installed by default - like bluetooth managers and CUPS. To make space for experimenting with 3D effects, I am willing to remove a number of packages, such as OpenOffice, Googleearth, Skype, etc. I don't know how and couldn't locate any useful topic through the foums.
In SuSE or Mepis distributions which I have loaded on two different systems, the package managers provide a list of packages and I can select some for installation, some for removal. Is anything equivalent available, preferably with GUI? Any pointers on how I can get a list of installed applicaitons and select some for removal.
Thanks
